Practice in Dialogue (2019)
design practice x education x transcultural
Architects offices are called “practices” sometimes, as architects are actually practicing all the time.
Meiri Shinohara Architects is now working on a project at HKICC Lee Shau Lee School of Creativity (HKSC) and they are working together with HKSC. In their practice, “workshop” is one of the everyday practices to bridge clients, community, builders, and staff. Through the workshop and project, it is not only about designing a building for clients but a relationship with each other.
In HKSC, they started to have workshops with students, teachers, staff, and align their shared vision and understanding of each other. Each of them can learn many things from the others.
Now, this exhibition is also part of the practice in dialogue. Meiri Shinohara Architects will show what they have done until now and what they and HKSC are doing now. They are happy to communicate with each other through the exhibition. They will exhibit some other projects they are working on too.
